Two small earthquakes (M0.5 - too slight to be felt locally) were recorded between Larne and Ballyclare in Antrim on Tuesday, according to the British Geological Survey (BGS).
These are the first earthquakes to occur on the island in at least 18 months.
Since 2010, the Irish National Seismic Network (INSN) has recorded 6 earthquakes in Antrim or off the Antrim Coast, the largest of which were M1.6 earthquakes occurring on the 26th October 2013 and 18th December 2018.
No tsunami alerts have been issued 🙃
