WORLD FROM SPACE - 22 August 2012


The above image from the NEODAAS Geostationary Archive shows how the planet looked from space at 1pm today (Wednesday, 22 August 2012).  Click on the image for a closer view.

The image shows ex Hurricane Gordon approaching the Iberian Peninsula, while newly formed Tropical Storm Isaac can be seen approaching the Lesser Antilles, north of the South America continent. Thunderstorm activity is clearly visible throughout central Africa.
